Sergio Lub Hammered Earth Metal Copper Bracelet
We individually handcraft each of our bracelets in our Northern California Studios. Our bracelets are adjustable and designed to be worn continuously, aging gracefully as they last for years.
Many of our bracelets have complex combinations of separate metal pieces. To ensure our designs withstand the stresses and strain of wearing all day we use silver solder to carefully join the metals together. Soldering several metals together into the same piece of jewelry requires delicate precision, and with practice one learns how to understand the different temperatures of each metal, by reading their glow as they are heated with a torch.
Our Primary Materials Include:
Pure Copper – The red/pink-ish metal found in many of our bracelets.
Jewelers’ Brass – The golden metal we use is an alloy (mixture of metals) containing approximately 85% pure copper and 15% zinc.
- Zinc is another essential trace mineral for the human body...
German Silver – German Silver is the primary white metal we use. It is an alloy of 65% pure copper mixed with zinc and nickel.

We LOVE Copper!
“Copper is an essential trace mineral, present in all body tissues, which plays a role in the formation of connective tissue, and in the normal functioning of muscles and the immune and nervous system” – Dr. Andrew Weil, M.D.
“Copper is an essential element for the enzyme that regenerates the cartilage lining our bones and to clean up the radicals destructive to human tissues.” - The Copper Bracelet and Arthritis, Dr. Helmar H. A. Dollwet, Professor of Biology, University of Akron, OH
Magnets
Each of our magnetic bracelets contains two powerful Rare Earth Magnets; one at each bracelet tip, carefully positioned to be worn over the wrist’s pressure points. Research has shown that magnetic fields influence biological systems, believed to attract and repel charged particles in the blood stream increasing circulation, stimulate tissue regeneration and reduce pain. In 1954, Dr. Linus Pauling, received a Nobel Prize for his discovery of the magnetic properties of hemoglobin. Pauling found that iron, and many electrolytic salts in our blood, circulate bio-magnetically. Therefore, the proximity of a magnetic field may result in an acceleration of circulation and the transfer of energy to all areas of the body.
Chinese doctors have believed for millennia that a magnetic field, when next to the body, could markedly increase the wearer’s vital life force, known as ‘Chi’. The observed benefits were found to increase with the magnets’ proximity to acupressure points. We carefully place magnets in our bracelets near two important pressure points of the wrist.
Our bracelets are made to be worn at all times, in nearly all places.
To keep your bracelet clean, we recommend wearing it in the shower, and using a simple jeweler’s polishing cloth when necessary to restore its shine.
Care & Maintenance
We only use solid metals, so there is no plating to chip or wear off. Therefore any scratch or blemish you may acquire, can be buffed out with a simple polishing cloth, or by rubbing a lemon juice baking soda composit.
